Our Founder

Overseer/Pastor Pamela Banks

Evangelist Pamela Banks, was born in Jennings Louisiana, and was raised in Rosharon, Texas. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at the tender age of seven (7), not knowing the price she would have to pay for the anointing that was placed upon her life. In 1983, being led by the Holy Spirit, she started street evangelism. As time went by, the load of misunderstanding, confusion, and generational curses continued to weigh heavy upon her shoulders.  The Holy Spirit spoke and said it’s time to destroy the hand of the enemy and go into enemies’ camp and declare the Word of God to the lost, hurt, and broken people. In 1992 the Spring Break Revival was birthed; going into the communities, parks, under bridges, taking the Word of God to the people and souls were saved, filled with the Holy Spirit, and even baptized in the local park pool.

In 2003 Pastor Banks attended a Juanita Banks Conference, it was then God spoke to her and showed her the vision for El Olem Word of Deliverance Ministries. Habakkuk 2:1-2, “I will stand at my watch and station myself on the ramparts; I will look to see what eh will say to me, and what answer I am to give to this complaint. Then the Lord replied: Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it.” And in 2004, Pastor Pamela Banks gave birth to her vision El Olem Word of Deliverance Ministries. She was ordained Pastor by Pastor Derrick Lot, on Resurrection Sunday, in the Homewood Suites/Clarion Inn here in Houston, Texas. Understanding her calling and where He led her to, the Greenspoint area would be her permanent location. “Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay, Habakkuk 2:3. El Olem Ministries feeds the community, conducts after-school programs, and host community outreach initiatives.

In September 2013, she was diagnosed with two forms of cancer, going to and from the doctor, from medicine to treatment, she stilled trusted in God, lived according to His written word, and didn’t give  up while she  held on to her faith. The doctors counted her out, and gave up on her, but she never denied the God she served, and in January 2015, God healed her body completely, and in her own words she says: “Don’t Count Me Out”.
